3. How to Calculate Your UE GWA
The GWA is calculated using the weighted average method. Follow these simple steps:
- Multiply the final grade in each subject by the number of credits (units) for that subject. This gives your grade points.
- Add all the grade points together.
- Sum up the total number of credit units completed.
- Divide the total grade points by the total completed units.
Example GWA Computation:
If you get 1.25 in a 3-unit class (3.75 grade points) and 1.50 in a 2-unit class (3.00 grade points), your total grade points is 6.75, and total units is 5. Your GWA is 6.75 / 5 = 1.35 GWA.
