Government Statutory Contributions (GSIS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
Unlike private sector employees covered by the SSS, Philippine government personnel are covered by statutory public systems:
- GSIS (Government Service Insurance System): Employee contributes 9.0% of monthly basic salary; government agency contributes 12.0%.
- PhilHealth: 5.0% total contribution split evenly (2.5% employee share) with a ₱10,000 floor and ₱100,000 cap.
- Pag-IBIG (HDMF): Statutory employee share is capped at ₱200.00 per month.
- PERA (Personnel Economic Relief Allowance): Fixed ₱2,000.00 per month supplemental allowance which is non-taxable and exempt from GSIS deductions.
