MTLE Passing Rules & Medical Laboratory Technician Eligibility

Under Section 19 of Republic Act No. 5527 (The Philippine Medical Technology Act), examinees are graded as follows:

Registered Medical Technologist (RMT): Must achieve a GWA of at least 75.00% with no subject score below 50.00% and not have failed at least 60% of subjects computed by weight.
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT): Examinees who do not pass the RMT standard but obtain a general rating of at least 70.00% to 74.99% are eligible to register as licensed Medical Laboratory Technicians.
