PNLE Statutory Passing Standards (RA 9173)
An examinee must obtain a General Weighted Average of at least 75.00% with no rating below 60.00% in any of the five test parts (NP1, NP2, NP3, NP4, NP5).
The 5 PNLE Test Clusters (20% Weight Each)
- Nursing Practice I: Community Health Nursing (100 items / 20%)
- Nursing Practice II: Care of Healthy/At-Risk Mother and Child (100 items / 20%)
- Nursing Practice III: Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations — Part A (100 items / 20%)
- Nursing Practice IV: Care of Clients with Physiologic Alterations — Part B (100 items / 20%)
- Nursing Practice V: Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations — Part C (100 items / 20%)
Conditional Status & Removal Rules
An examinee who gets a GWA of 75.00% or higher but scores below 60.00% in one subject must take a removal examination in that subject. To pass, the removal exam rating must be at least 75.00%.
