The 3 Statutory SSS Pension Formulas Explained

Under Section 12 of the Social Security Act of 2018 (Republic Act No. 11199), the monthly pension is calculated by comparing three distinct mathematical formulas. SSS awards the member the highest value among the three:

Formula 1 (CYS Factor): $₱300 + (20% imes ext{AMSC}) + [2% imes ext{AMSC} imes ( ext{CYS} - 10)]$
Formula 2 (40% AMSC): $40% imes ext{AMSC}$
Formula 3 (Statutory Floor): Minimum $₱1,200$ (for CYS 10–19) or $₱2,400$ (for CYS $ge 20$).
